We have been Landlords for years and have often asked ourselves, what more can we do to help support Purple Martins? We know we have launched many fledglings but we want to assure that others can feel this sense joy when they see Purple Martins. We then realized we could continue serving Purple Martins by making a gift to The Purple Martin Conservation Association in addition to our annual support – a commitment that would make a lasting impact on the organization our whole family loves.

My grandfather introduced me to Purple Martins when I was a boy. In turn, I shared the joy of martins with my wife and children. Now my own children take their children to our local park that has a colony of martins so they too can share in the wonder of this native species.

After my husband died, I moved to a retirement community. I had to leave behind our beloved Purple Martin colony in the hopes the next owners would take care of the martins. Sadly they removed all of the housing. I then firmly decided it was time to take action so I decided to make a bequest to The Purple Martin Conservation Association in my husband’s memory. Trouble was, I had just re-written my will, and I didn’t want to go the time and expense of having a new document drawn just to add a bequest to The Purple Martin Conservation Association.
